A fugitive on the run from Connecticut authorities was arrested in Georgia Saturday at his birthday celebration.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Workplace introduced Saturday that Forenza Murphy, 31, was taken into custody in McDonough by the sheriff’s workplace’s Particular Investigation Unit.
Deputies acquired a tip that Murphy was at a member of the family’s home celebrating his birthday, FOX 5 Atlanta reported.
He was taken into custody on the dwelling Saturday afternoon.

Forenza Murphy, 31, was arrested in Georgia Oct. 1, 2022, after escaping from a Connecticut Division of Corrections midway home on Aug. 8.

Murphy was serving a four-year sentence on a theft cost at a Connecticut Division of Corrections midway home in Bridgeport when he left with out permission.

Scandrett added Murphy’s apprehension was a “nice collaborative effort” with Connecticut DOC.
Murphy is booked on the Henry County Jail and is predicted to face further prices.
